By using OutfitMaker.ai, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Personal Information

When you create an account, we collect:

2.2 Wardrobe Data

When you use our service, we collect:

• Photos of your clothing items
• AI-generated tags and descriptions of your items
• Outfit combinations you create or save
• Your interactions with AI-generated suggestions

2.3 Usage Data

We automatically collect:

• Device information (browser type, operating system)
• IP address (anonymized)
• Pages visited and features used
• Time spent on the application

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Provide and maintain our service
• Generate AI outfit suggestions based on your wardrobe
• Provide personalized shopping recommendations
• Improve and optimize our AI algorithms
• Send you service-related communications
• Respond to your inquiries and support requests

4. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your personal information or wardrobe data to third parties.

We may share your information with:

• Service Providers: Cloud hosting (Railway), image processing (Google Cloud), and AI services (Google Gemini) that help us operate our service
• Affiliate Partners: When you click on shopping recommendations, we use affiliate links. We do NOT share your wardrobe photos or personal data with retailers
• Legal Requirements: If required by law or to protect our rights

5. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures:

• All data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS)
• Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text
• Images are stored securely on Amazon S3 with restricted access
• Regular security audits and updates

6. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account:

• All personal information is permanently deleted within 24 hours
• All wardrobe photos are permanently deleted within 24 hours
• Anonymized, aggregated data may be retained for analytics purposes

7. Your Rights (GDPR)

If you are in the European Economic Area, you have the right to:

• Access: Request a copy of your personal data
• Rectification: Request correction of inaccurate data
• Erasure: Request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten")
• Portability: Request your data in a portable format

AI assistant connections (MCP)

You can connect your OutfitMaker account to an AI assistant (for example Claude or ChatGPT) through our MCP server at outfitmaker.ai/mcp/wardrobe. This only happens if you sign in and approve the connection yourself.

• What the assistant can access: your wardrobe pieces (type, colour, photos, description), wear statistics, your outfit suggestions and the look previews you ask it to create. Nothing else.
• What it can never access: your email address, password, payment details or billing history. It cannot delete anything.
• Actions it can take: create an outfit suggestion (uses one of your daily suggestions) and render a look preview (uses one preview from your plan or credits), only when you ask in the conversation.
• Security: OAuth 2.1 with PKCE. Your assistant receives an access token, never your password. Tokens expire and are refreshed; we store them hashed.
• What leaves OutfitMaker: the tool results you request (outfits, pieces, look images) are sent to your assistant and are then handled under that provider's own privacy policy (for Claude, Anthropic's; for ChatGPT, OpenAI's).
• Retention: suggestions and look previews created through an assistant are kept like the ones you create in the app. Access tokens are deleted when they expire or when you disconnect.
• Usage statistics: each time an assistant uses one of our tools, we add one to an anonymous daily count per tool (tool name and date only: no account, no content), kept 90 days, to measure how the connector is used. Requests from known automated directory checkers are counted separately; their IP address is kept for one hour for that purpose only.
• Disconnect at any time from your assistant's connector settings. To have connection data deleted or for any question, write to hello@outfitmaker.ai.

8. Cookies

We use essential cookies to maintain your session and preferences. We do not use third-party tracking cookies for advertising purposes. We use privacy-focused, self-hosted analytics that does not track individuals or use cookies.

9. Children's Privacy

Our service is not intended for users under 16 years of age. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 16.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
