Vestiaire Collective photos: show your designer piece worn

On a designer piece, buyers check every detail and then want to know how it looks on. Keep your detail shots, and add a worn photo of your own piece made from a single photo of it.

From a flat lay to a worn photo

  1. Create your free account and add the piece you are selling: one phone photo, laid flat, on a hanger or on the bed. The background is removed for you.
  2. Open the piece and tap "worn photo". The first time, pick who wears it: women's and men's models, several skin tones and ages.
  3. About 20 seconds later the photo is ready: your garment worn by the model, its color, print and cut kept, with plain basics around it so it stays the focus.
  4. Download it (no watermark) and add it to your Vestiaire Collective listing, after your real photos.

What Vestiaire Collective buyers check

  • Proof of what the piece is: the brand label, the composition label, serial numbers or codes where the house uses them, the hardware and the stitching.
  • Condition, honestly: the lining, the corners, the soles, any mark, in close up and in good light.
  • The whole piece, front and back, on a plain background.
  • How it falls when worn: the shoulder of a blazer, the length of a coat, the drape of a silk dress. That is where a worn photo helps.

Where a worn photo fits for designer pieces

On luxury resale, trust comes from the real photos. A worn photo never replaces them: it comes after them and shows the proportions of the piece on a body, which flat photos cannot.

Say in your description that the worn image is an AI preview of the item, and check the platform's current photo guidelines before you add it.

The AI is told never to repair or embellish: the color, the pattern, the cut, the buttons and any visible wear stay as they are on your photo. Compare the result with your piece before you use it. Our guide to photos without a model explains when a worn photo adds the most.

What it costs

Your first worn photo is free, whatever your plan. After that, photos come in packs: 5 for €2.99 or 15 for €6.99. You pay once, there is no subscription, and unused credits never expire. A credit is only used when the photo is delivered.

Questions

Will the AI change my designer piece?

It is told to reproduce the exact color, pattern, cut, buttons and visible wear, and not to repair or embellish anything. Logos and small engraved details can come out less sharp than in reality, so your close ups stay the reference.

Can I use the worn photo as the main image?

We advise against it. Use real photos of the item first and the worn photo as an extra, labeled as an AI preview.

Who can see my photos?

Only you. Your garment photos stay in your account. They are processed by our AI provider to make the image and are never published or sold.

Is the Vestiaire Collective photo generator free?

Your first worn photo is free on any plan, no subscription needed. After that, 5 photos cost €2.99 and 15 cost €6.99, paid once, and the credits never expire.

Your next listing deserves a worn photo.
